I enquired from AXA (travel medical insurance company of or at least *in* Thailand) whether I can use my policy should I manage to leave and re-enter Thailand during the coverage period. The answer I received, in simple language is 'no'.
This strikes me as extremely limiting term of service and makes normal travel medical insurance a much better deal.
I am waiting for the answer to several other policy questions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around the limitations of AXA's travel medical insurance policy for expatriates in Thailand, which specifies that coverage is void if the insured leaves the country during the coverage period. This policy is criticized for being restrictive compared to travel medical insurance options available in Europe and Canada, where there appears to be more comprehensive coverage for international travel.
Very good point Mr. Bertram. I don't doubt that what you say is true in the EU and Switzerland (where mandatory [?] health insurance already covers most everything. My Zurich associate's COVID travel insurance is $100 for a year while travelling outside of country).
However, in Canada this is not the case. Our provincial insurance covers only $100 per day in-hospital and $50 out-patient, reimbursed. Private companies without monopoly-protection charge much more than those of European countries equivalents.
Just don't buy this shit insurance, everybody. It is twice the price at only a fraction of coverage. At least in Europe, you would get UNLIMITTED travel health insurance for ALL COUNTRIES (except the US and your home country) at half the price, and at the added benefit of being much safer covered by European law.
