yes, and in Thailand there is no “standard” protocol for things like this and if so, half the people don’t understand it because it changes constantly. Endless “initiatives” to solve problems caused by past initiatives. They chase away tourism and investment, and the signs show.

People always suggest hiring an agent is ridiculous, but I place visa renewal up there with taxes. If you have your funds in place they are very affordable.

After reading all the comments, having left the States myself for good reasons, and the current administration in charge, it seems like we are all better off in Thailand. If we go abroad it’ll be Europe, Japan, or somewhere civilized.
