Certificate of Residency (sometimes referred to as a letter) from IO based on tenants current TM30 is required. (Same form is used to register or sell a vehicle).

The form is free if you can wait a week or 500THB if you want the document straight away.

Your local IO should be able to assist and advise your tenant of the process.

Type into Google Retirement Criteria Royal Thai Police Order 35 / 2561.

The document explains all in English.

What the seasoning requirements / withdrawal limits are of the 800k deposit, monthly 65k minimum income etc.

Bear in mind that 65k monthly is 780k annually.

So the bottom line with the income route is as long as min 800k has passed through your Thai account in a year all will be fine.

Anyhow this is how my local IO interprets the legislation.

But as you will find some IO's will do differently.

I hope this helps?

You should be able to find it through Thai Visa.

Or Google "Retirement Criteria Royal Thai Police Order 35 / 2561" There are several references to this order and some images as well.

The most recent Retirement Financial Criteria is contained within RTP (Immigration) Order # 35 / 2561 (2019).

Your local IO should be able to advise you how to switch from deposit to monthly income?

But as previously stated as long as you keep to your current conditions until Apr 2023 and can evidence the required monthly income there should be no issues?

Consider filing a report with the relevant embassy if you are concerned for his welfare.?

The fact that you are asking on this forum indicates you have some modicum of common sense, accountability, and responsibility.

Category AM (Mopeds), A1, A2 and Category A are for motorcycles.

Your licence is stamped and valid only for Category B.

Always better to volunteer yourself in this situation and pay the overstay fine than get arrested and go through the process that way.

Most IO's will be more understanding if you approach them first.

Good luck.

People have different experiences for sure....

The legislation is there.

And in the Op's case he was not allowed to fly out of the UK without the paperwork and was correctly challenged by his carrier.

Knowledge is power....better to be prepared than waste a plane ticket / trip as happened in the Op's case.

Neil Hart....This is the UK legislation applicable to your situation. Each country will have its own legislation. Simply put it's about "child protection".
