TLDR : Answer Summary
No, you cannot legally drive a 125cc motorbike in Thailand with a standard driver's license that only holds a category B endorsement. To ride a motorcycle, you would need a license categorized under category A or an International Driving Permit that explicitly includes motorcycle riding. Additionally, riding without the proper license could void your insurance coverage in case of an accident, and you could face fines.

Nope, you would need an international drivers license that explicitly says you can drive motorcycles. In your case it would require category A. You only have category B.

While you can drive 125cc bikes in some european countries with it, thailand does not accept it.

No you cannot legally, but if you want to just remember insurance will not cover you for anything. But as we say in Thailand, up to you🤷‍♂️

Why are you even asking this question. All you have to do is look at your license. It is very self explanatory to me.

The fact that you are asking on this forum indicates you have some modicum of common sense, accountability, and responsibility.

Category AM (Mopeds), A1, A2 and Category A are for motorcycles.

Your licence is stamped and valid only for Category B.

Yes you can!

You can drive with green eggs and ham. You can drive with Sam I Am.

The question is should you?

If you don't have a license you will have to pay a fine or a bribe.

If you do have a license you will have to pay a fine or a bribe, a lot less.

The International Driver's Permit has never done me any good. It is not considered a driver's license.

Also, I dont think you have the correct endorsements. In mine I should of had Motorcycle and Car, I see you only have one, I think.

Just go for it, wear a helmet, and have 500 baht on you to pay police if needed.

If you have an accident your insurance does not cover anything if you dont have a proper license. Lots of accidents every day because tourists rent motorbikes and cannot drive.

The IDP allows you to drive in Thailand whatever you can legally drive in your home Country.

Then they could ride a 125cc bike. Spain allows that. But thailand usually not.

If you look at the 1st page of your IDP (p.3) you will see the categories written in English (p.8 for Spanish), and A is for motorcycles so no you are not covered. But hey! if you dont know, Im damn sure the Thais renting mbikes (nor the Thai police) would not know either. I think that you would only have a problem if you had an accident and needed to claim from your home country insurance. BUT if you have no experience of mbike riding then forget it as Thailand's roads are VERY dangerous; Thailand is #2 in the World (probably #1 as only deaths at the scene of the accident r counted) for road accident fatalities and over 70% of these r for mbikes! So, 'EVERYONE', take care out there.

You need A to be stamped. This example is only valid for B.

You can ride , but there may be consequences if you do. Possible 500 baht fine if stopped by Police and insurance void if there is an accident.

If You dont have a bike license in your home country so you can not ride legally in Thailand and would have no insurance cover if you did.
