I'm here permanently on a non o retirement visa... with the 800 k deposit in the bank. I started monthly transfers in March of 2025 and am considering switching to a transfer option when I renew again in 2027. I thought I read a long time ago that for the retirement visa, an option was to combine a 400 k bank balance with monthly 40 k transfers . Has anyone done this?

I will be coming to Thailand in January on my non-O 90 day visa to subsequently apply for my spousal visa. After arrival, my plan is to quickly set up a bank account and immediately deposit more than 400k baht. I also plan to set up another bank account and begin immediately transferring more than 40k baht from the US every month. I thought that after the end of the 90 days and after approval of the one year spousal extension, I could then withdraw the 400k and continue the monthly transfers. I thought that before the end of the one year, I would have a record of more than 12 monthly transfers and all would be good. However, I was recently advised that I would still need the 400k in the first account to get the second year extension. Is that correct?

Hopefully a simple question, for a Non O retirement renewal if I used the 65k per month option can it it be in more than one transfer per month? I have sources of income that exceed the 65k in total but not individually and the individual components may vary from month to month, if ever there was a short month I could make a transfer from savings to meet any shortfall, thanks

When the Canadian embassy provided proof of income, Thai immigration would not accept 40K monthly baht transferred into a Thai bank from Canada. Now that the embassy no longer provides this service, is Thai immigration now accepting Thai bank monthly transfers of 40k from Canada overseas as proof of income.

For using monthly transfers to document income for extension of stay based on marriage or retirement, is it required to be one sum transfer, or can it be spread over multiple as long as it amounts to the required total?

Thanks in advance for your expertise.

I am seeking advice and hope someone can help.

I have a retirement visa which i renewed in January.

I have ensured that I deposit at least 65,000bt from my UK bank to my Thai bank every month.

Can I use this when I renew next January instead of the 800,000bt?

I have been doing the 800000 in the bank since I got here but am send over well over well over 800000 a year to live but not always 650000 in a month obviously watching the exchange rates and send more over when hi and topping up when need. My bank statement will show this. Can this be used as the 650000 per month as I herd they add all amounts together and divide by 12. But also herd they take monthly amount and go on the lowest amount sent. Can anyone give my best options to get my monthy income cover my visa requirements rather than the 8000000

Most people posting talk about the requirement to have 800,000 baht sitting in their Thai bank account.

My understanding is that the 800,000 required can be made up from two separate amounts. One being proof of pension amount received in your home country as income there ( say 600,000 total annually), and the second amount only required in the Thai bank account being the difference, say 200,000 baht.

Is this correct ?

Did I make a mistake applying for 1st time Non O in country based on 12 x foreign monthly transfers 65k+ to my Thai a/c. I was declined today at HH immigration, they advised can only use this method for Non O extensions/renewals? I re - entered in Sept on a 60 day Toutist Visa as I wished to change from my previous Non O-A. I provided all bank statements, bank letter, credit white I think they call it etc.
