If you dont have a company registered anywhere, I think they consider you work here in Thailand and for DTV, thats prohibited. Register a company and pay taxes, then apply again...

Did you try bangkok bank jomtien 2nd road? I opened mine there 1year ago with visa exempt+extension, no questions asked. Atleast give it a try, costs you nothing
