Just a heads up for people that want to apply for Soft Power Muay Thai option in Taipei. A receipt is not enough for confirmation. You need a letter from the gym showing when you will attend, the gym's muay Thai license, and company registration. Make sure you gym is certified by the Sports Authority of Thailand. The requirements on the site are not up to date. They will ask for 3 months of banking statements along with your income even if it's soft power. I hope this saves someone else time.

Every embassy has different rules. There is no set list of docs. The requirement ìs that it is a professional course organized by a government registered facility and employs certified instructors.

Re muay thai, there are various government bodies that certify instructors and gyms so best find a gym that ticks every box just to be on the safe side.

Sports authority

Board of boxing sport

Education ministry

All above issue government recognized certification but the embsssys might demand one that the gym doesn't have. By no means does that mean the gym isn't legit ... it's just one of those things

Most embassys are now asking for a Ltd Company certificate too.

We learned this early on and acquired all the certification to tick every box. We lucky in that our coach is on the governing panel at the sports authority and helped us get covered

I'm a gym owner BTW

Do you know if there's a minimum income requirement aside from the 500.000baht in the bank account?

There's no requirement to be working, in TPE I told them that I wasn't, although they still asked me about it in our interview.

Good advice. Attendance, license and registration are standard approval criteria for a lot of embassies regarding the Muay Thai DTV. It is best to apply from a gym with a track record of approval.

Good for you to get such an easy approval. Many Embassies ask for more than that. Taipei is known for wanting the right paperwork.
