Wayne Clarke Things are changing very quickly here in Thailand. Since you don’t even hold a visa, there is clear evidence of a crackdown on tourist exemptions, and no one here will go against it, as it is widely covered by the media.

 Then go for Mexico?! Check what are the requirements for the Retirement visa and you'll see that's not much different. A yearly check of your bank balance with obligation to have the money for months before renewal.
