I did inquire with Thai Visa and was told they can’t help because I don’t live in Pattaya. Their exact reply:

“No, not possible. You didn’t mention that you don’t live here.”

I am always grateful to read your informative comments. But I’ve inquired with about eight separate agencies and the lowest I’ve found for non O retirement visa (extended stay actually) with multiple entry is about 38,000 THB. And I’m concerned this price might go up very soon?

I agree with your points and suggest picking out the commenters who are clearly offering accurate information with good intentions. I’ve discovered just a few and pay particular attention to what they write. 👍

Here is the reply your agency sent to me a few days ago:

“To use our service you must at least have a bank account.

We suggest obtaining one on your own, or coming to Bangkok as we can assist you here.

If you had a bank account already then we could fully service you without you having to come to Bangkok.”

I understood this to mean you could not help me if I came to Pattaya.
