So about two weeks, that’s good to know. I plan on a basic non O 90 day but what were the requirements for a retirement visa other than the obvious (50 or older).
Proof of a certain amount in a bank account? And is the 12 month extension added later while in Thailand?
A quick sub question if you don’t mind… do you know about how long it takes to obtain a non O 90 day visa when applying online and is that all accomplished electronically with no need to ship passport or receive documentation? Thanks.
Right. But since I always pay attention to your comments for learning purposes how would you answer my post? Are my chances of being approved online (while in USA) for a non O visa almost 100%?
I’m grateful for your informative comments. Even after all my research I was hoping there was a way to keep the USD equivalent of 800,000 baht in my home account. True or not, I’ve read instances where getting all your money back out of a Thai account is not easy. 🤷
My plan for the past month has been to just pay an agent (I ignore the countless comments such as “why be stupid and waste your money?”).
But if you’re saying that I’m guaranteed to get a non O retirement visa by applying online from the USA then I might go that route. Will my three border runs possibly cause a denial? I cannot risk being rejected so paying an agent in my case is worth it IF necessary. Also, if I apply from the USA am I required to open a Thai bank account and if so is 800,000K baht needed? Thanks.
