this is the one I used . But there are several on the same street . They all look a bit sketchy on first appearance. This one looked less sketchy 😆 and did everything we needed . I can't remember the exact cost but I think it was equivalent to 1000 baht ISH 🤔

Took 2 days for a 90 day visa for me. Use one of the agents . They are really cheap and not only check your forms etc but taxi you to and from the consulate and retrieve your passport the next day so it's super cheap when you factor in the taxi fare.

if your wife is Vietnamese try there if she's following you .

I'm pretty sure it's only ended outside the home country.

I had much confusion at the Thai end with it not being so common so don't give up too easily

from what I understand. You now have to apply for the trailing spouse from your home country.

I was lucky and my wife got one in Penang just before they stopped doing them.

If you can apply from your home country the marriage certificate will need to be verified by your own government, then the Thai embassy in your country, then in Thailand translate to Thai , then sent to the ministry of foreign affairs in Bangkok to be stamped again .

then he can't register it in his name in Bangkok.

Register it in a different province. Everywhere other than Bangkok will give a resident certificate with visa exempt or tourist visa.

I've got 2 bikes registered to a hotel address in Chiang Mai.

Only Bangkok will be an issue getting a resident certificate.

Any other province you will be fine .

You need a minimum of 15 days left on your entry stamp or extension etc etc

I've made a mistake every time I've applied for a visa as the requirement list is vague and full of things that don't apply to the visa type I'm after.

It's never been a problem. The embassy just contacted me asking for further info for the bits I'd missed or messed up.

I wouldn't worry.
