I’m in both, I use the other for factual, straight to the point answers (though you can’t have a laugh) and this for some facts and banter and maybe to answer anything I know to be factual 🤣
If it’s in regards to having covid extensions prior, I came through DMK yesterday but I was pulled aside and questioned (I was expecting this). They weren’t mean just wanted to know what I was doing in my previous 9 months (went to bali for 16 days then returned). None of it seemed to matter once I was able to provide them with my flight home etc.
I’m a fair few years off the retirement visa options but because of this group I could accurately tell you exactly what the requirements are 🤣 Always accurate information.
the regular extension of 30 days is very unlikely to be denied.
I also did mine in Samui 11 days before current expiry with no issues. Have never been asked for a departure flight from there or Phangan for covid extensions (though I know never say never).
For a recommendation seen as you’re close, Phangan immigration are very relaxed in terms of extensions like this. Providing you attend the office in appropriate clothing, wear a mask and bring the correct information/signed etc I’ve never seen anyone denied thus far.
the embassy website is always late with being updated. The latest date currently is the 25th July, though I am hearing that it may very well be the end this time! (Nothing official though yet)
