Living in Chiang Mai, what's the best boarder crossing for a visa run?

Can you please explain a little more of what you just said, I originally thought my tourist visa gives me 3 months, unfortunately I got it wrong and it only gives me 2month, My plan is 6months in Thailand. so its a quick trip to the boarder and back to extend it by 30 or 60 days then a a trip to immigration. Just thinking, I understand I can do the Thai Immagration extension only once, However, after I do the Thai Immagration first, then Boarder run, then can I do a Thai immigration again?

I had crossed that idea out as from past experience, getting the visa in Thailand was an easier process. (No medical, no insurance, and I only needed 800,000baht in thai account) however, will look into it again to see if things have changed
