Isn’t the Non-o visa 90 days a single entry visa?

If so, once “used” by entering Thailand that’s it.

A re-entry permit won’t do you any good then as you have no visa to connect it to?

exactly!

and Tania Carbonaro

you’ve asked for bank requirements?

you won’t be able to do anything with a thai bank without a long term visa

(meaning for any short stayers or on tourist visas you won’t get a bank account)

you can apply for the non-o (90 days) in your home country and enter Thailand with this visa.

(no thai bank account needed for that)

That allows you to then open a bank account in Thailand without hassle.

You then transfer the 800k and apply for the one year extension

From super easy to impossible - that would depend on which immigration office you will be using and whether you have the required 800k THB ready.

apparently Malaysia is the worst for DTV in SEA

Vietnam seems to be what most people recommend at this point

for this type of visa you don’t need to apply from your home country.

I‘ve used the embassy in KL and Penang in previous years for tourist visas

And it’s a relevant question ☺️
