I did the Thai culture course 4 years ago. It was one week long and cost about 8000 baht.It was needed to obtain a teacher's licence from Khrusupa but I don't think it was needed for the WP.
I thought once the child reaches the age of 7 or 8 you all toddle off to the the local amphur ( father, mother and child ) and get the child legitimized. I thought it only involved a family court if there was a custody battle and/or the child was too young.
Ok thanks. Wasn't sure if there had been any changes in policy recently because of what i've heard. Ok it seems like the 90 day non 0 is still the only option, even if you are legally the father. My local immigration are obviously not singing from the same hymn sheet as everybody else ! Ok, thank you very much.
Thanks Robert but that is not what we are discussing. We are trying to find out if a legal father/ guardian can get a one year non o from Savannakhet, without proof of funds. My local immigration said yes ( they've been wrong before) but people on here say it's not possible.
Yes. A 90 day non o can be extended for 60 days. Been doing it for 2 years. Was rather hoping for a one year multiple entry from Savannakhet. If not possible I will continue going to Vientiane.
Now, that I didn't know. Are you sure ? I can only get 90 days at Vientiane. I was told on Friday, at the local immigration office that Savannakhet issue multi entry non o's, without proof of funds based on a dependent Thai child. They have given me duff information before so i want to make sure before I travel there.
This is what i'm hearing. They are giving non o visa's at Savannakhet based on dependents and marriage, with no proof of funds. I can't seem to find out, with certainty about the dependent non o.
