Alexandros Karsiotis If you want a safe backup plan in case something happens, you could contact the owner of this group. There is still some time before your departure, and Qatar Airways continues operating even if there are some disruptions.

can arrange a so-called safe entry for you, which would give you a new 60-day stay if it becomes necessary at that point.

If your flight is cancelled you are still responsible for leaving Thailand before your permitted stay expires. Flight cancellations normally do not qualify for an additional extension. In practice you must arrange another flight. If necessary, immigration can issue the standard 7 day extension denied stamp, which gives you seven days to depart.

If you leave Thailand and attempt to re-enter after a few days, you may receive a new visa-exempt entry. However, entry is always at the discretion of the immigration officer. Given that your previous stay in 2025 and the current stay together approach around six months, you are already close to the upper range typically tolerated for visa-exempt tourism.

The "red tape" usually only starts becoming a problem the moment people try to stretch short-term tourist solutions into long-term stays instead of simply applying for the visa that actually fits their situation.

In fact, it's very easy as long as you play by the rules and get a proper visa that fits your personal situation.

It depends on the immigration office whether they require you to submit a new TM30, even if you return to the same address.

I wouldn’t count on it, but it does happen from time to time if they believe you do not meet the requirements. You have no guarantee that the entire application won’t simply be rejected.
