Quick question. I'll be arriving on a 30 day visa exemption and I'm wondering how soon I can apply for the 30 day extension? Right away? Or do I have to wait till the last day?
I need expert advice please: my wife and I are going to get a retirement visa. I've deposited the required sum in the bank. Now I have to wait two months (May 16th).
We are on a 30 day extension that expires April 15th. I need to go to KL to close out a bank account there, long story but my card stopped working and my money is tied up. No access to the website either.
Would I be able to fly to KL and apply for a 60 day visa? So I can stay longer and avoid more border hops, or is it not worth it? Has anyone done this in KL and how many nights would I have to stay there? TIA
Good morning, I'm not sure what part of Thailand I'll be in when I need to apply for an extension (I'm on a 30 day visa exemption expiring Dec 23). I found this map of all immigration offices on the official website. My question is whether the offices labeled as "checkpoints" would handle the extension, or are they border crossings where you're leaving the country and reentering (which I don't want to do)? I'm not sure what they mean by a checkpoint. The map link is here:
Members, may be a silly question, but we all know what thai immigration law is like, so do I need to fill out a TM30 at local police or immigration office if I have already stated my address on the landing card TM6
