I was going to start a business that charged 500k for the information that these people seem to want. And make an announcement date so they all get it as the same time.

Or maybe just sell the Intel to the highest bidder in an auction.

Because all of us obviously know everything that's going on even before the government has made a plan let alone an announcement.

On a different note about visa amnesty. Yes it currently runs out on July 31st. But that doesn't mean that they won't extend it.

But a thought that nobody has brought to light is if the emergency decree is taken away, all the laws enacted for it are gone. I would imagine that includes the visa amnesty.

I don't see that happening but just something that has popped into my head recently.

I think when the amnesty does expire it will not be an automatic August 1st your on overstay. I do believe that they will give a 7-14 day window to get visa/extension or departure from Thailand. They will have to do something to limit/disperse the mass amount of people that would show up on August 1st at immigration offices.

I know someone who left bkk last week to get back to the uk. No issues. I believe he used Lufthansa and connected in Germany. And the flight was packed!

go do even a second of research and you will see that only select work permit holders will be allowed in to start when ever they do start allowing foriegners in.

I have a similar situation to you. I was using tourist visas coming in and out as I was traveling for work. Married to a Thai lady last year.

We were being lazy and not worrying about the marriage cert or visa. Now we have to deal with it.

From my understanding is you can find some of the visa agents able to do the change of visa status while still in thailand.

Also from my understanding is the gratis visa that some of us are on now does not negate your ability to apply for an extension like before if you have not applied for an extension on your current stamp.

Me and my wife are trying to figure out what to do and soon will be going to talk to some visa agents as well as a lawyer to discover our options. We are waiting until July to see what the government does with borders and the such before we spend 10's of thousands of baht to do something that may not be needed.

You should be able to use an agency or do yourself at immigration from my understanding.
