I'm not being ignorant. I have a good friend changed to a b visa with wp. Thai elite has always been able to change in country. These are some of the options if you are on a TOURIST visa.

I just talked with one 2 days ago and they confirmed the ability to do it in country. Progress language school.

you are correct. But there are options available to change you visa status in country.

I can change to a marriage visa and do that in country. You can change to an elite visa and do that in country. You can change to a b visa and do that in country.

There are options for those that are/have not wanting to game the system.

they do have flights leaving. Why haven't they talked to thier embassies. If they only have money to eat for a month or buy a ticket how can they expect to stay here longer then a month? How can they get home after the month with no money.

Immigration needs to really think about the extension and what a burden some of these people can become on to the system.

There are so many options being on a tourist visa in country right now.

It has always been accessible to change a tourist visa to other types of visa with out bouncing out.

Some of those types are O, B, elite, volunteer. And they have adjusted the ED visa to do in country right now.

Honestly people being lazy is the only excuse I can see for many of those worried that amnesty runs out at the end of July.
