Yes, I tried that in Malaysia, it works. But here by "foreign cards" most people mean cards with no Thai/ASIAN partnership 🤓

PromptPay won’t work. This method only works where TrueMoney is accepted. For PromptPay you must have to have a Thai bank account.

You are right, you can’t top up.

But you can use TrueMoney to use it as a transaction terminal like Apple Pay, you can save your foreign card and pay directly from your card through TrueMoney QR code at 7-11 etc.

This is a good option. I do the same. No need to top up TrueMoney wallet. Simply connect a foreign card to “pay through” TrueMoney using the card directly. It worked for all my cards.
