TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around topping up a Truemoney account in Thailand using a foreign card. Many expats share experiences, suggesting that cash withdrawals from ATMs can facilitate topping up at convenience stores like 7-Eleven, where there are limits on amounts. There is skepticism about the effectiveness of Truemoney and suggestions for alternative payment methods such as using the True app or PromptPay.

Im interested in this topic and must clarify. Is the reason you have a truemoney account, is to have the ability to pay with 'scan'? As a back up maybe?

You can try the Charles Schwab visa debit card which can be acquired if you have a Schwab brokerage account (available to International customers). They reimburse your ATM withdrawal fees.
