They didn't believe his previous internship was real. so they requested a certificate from his university that wasted a couple of days for them and pushed him to the last day.

I dont understand the full story myself, but they ended up accepting that aspect then rejecting them on his bank statements which showed he wasnt getting enough salary.

They asked them every step of the way what was needed and they kept adding things to the list.

my guess is that it's just an excuse to limit / screen people they deem to be illegitimate.

as long as they havent passed immigration they are not technically in the country. And yes they need to show cash...

A friend coming through Wellington, New Zealand on the same visa doesn't require a wp either. But will he need one to apply for one year extension? (Outside CM)
