What are the experiences and guidelines for applying for a type-O visa extension at the Singburi Immigration Office?

Has anyone here had experience with the Singburi immigration office?

I'm based in bkk but wife works out there and it's time to apply for an extension to my type-O.

Since we head out there weekly, just thinking it might be easier to avoid the long queues and do it there...any experiences to share?

Also: this is the correct guideline to follow right? :

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses experiences related to applying for a type-O visa extension at the Singburi Immigration Office, particularly for someone who is currently in Bangkok but frequently travels to Singburi. The user seeks advice on whether it is feasible to apply for the extension at Singburi instead of Bangkok and references specific immigration guidelines. The discussion in the comments highlights important aspects such as the necessity of applying at the local immigration office, differing requirements for extensions based on the applicant's relationship with Thai nationals versus residents, and specific documentation needed for the application.

If you are applying for a yearly extension of stay based on marriage a thai you have two ways to meet the financials

bank 400K baht in an account in your name only for 2 months prior to your application OR provide a letter from your consulate stating you get 40K baht in income per month.

You need both the Kor Ror 2 & 3 marriage certificates, pictures of you and your wife standing in front of your address numbers, a couple pictures of you and your wife sitting inside the house and a few of the wedding too. You need a hand drawn map to your house, and copies of the relevant pages in your passport.

Once you apply and pay the 1900baht your application will go under consideration for 30 days and you'll get a stamp in your passport telling you when to return to get the year extension stamped in. At that time you can buy a re-entry permit too.

Unfortunately your wife is wrong, :/

You must use the immigration office in the zone where you live & do your 90 day reports.

A fair few years ago when they went to "zone immigrations" they stopped people from applying for extensions at any office they wanted to and instead made them apply at the office that services the area where you live.

This means unless you live in an area served by Singburi immigrations you use the bangkok office for your extension.

What extention are you applying for? Generally it has to be done at your local immigration office, ie where you live/staying

well you could book into a hotel/resort for a day and use that address but I think immigration will want a local address wherever you apply

Are you sure about that? I thought so too but my wife didn't seem to think it mattered.

It's a type o based on marriage.

"An affidavit must also be submitted confirming the alien’s

marital or parental status with a Thai national."

An affidavit from who? it's mentioned in relation to the bank statements...so....the bank provides the affidavit i assume?

oh wow ok, but I think I have seen someone in a similar post on this forum mention they brought a letter with them. I assumed it was the same thing.

It's almost useless following any of those points, that is the police order concerning the extensions NOT the exact requirements for the immigration office. :/

weird ... whats the dif with that link (Visa Extension - In the case of being a family member of a Thai National) and this one :

(Visa Extension - In the case of being a family member of a Thai resident)

Why would a thai national have stricter requirements than a thai resident?

married to a thai national and family member of a thai national are two different extension clauses
