Just attempted to apply for extension of a type-O based on marriage in chaengwattana and was turned away for now, but learned a few things that might help others:

- the initial information given to us by an immigration officer was wrong, samut prakhan will not cover those based in prawet.

- for some reason having Thai kids makes the process more difficult (one would think otherwise) as we are now forced to get house registrations for them. the fact that the news says these are not requested August onwards doesn't seem to be relevant.

- some of the family photos we took were rejected as my face was too close to the camera lol

-getting the kor ror 22 is now also proving to be a bitch. Updates to come...

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user faced difficulties while attempting to extend their marriage-based Type-O visa in Chaengwattana. Key issues included misinformation about jurisdiction, complications arising from having Thai children which require house registrations, and rejection of family photos due to proximity. Additionally, obtaining the 'Kor Ror 22' document has been challenging.

@T**
my application is under review now... Right on the last day lol, just made it. Is it ok for us to use our 400k now or do you advise we hold on to it till we get the whole thing approved?

you got the "under consideration 30 day stamp" right?

The jury seems out on whether you can use the money or not. I argued with an I/O the last time I was out there that the rule specifically says the money must be seasoned for 2 months prior to your application and that it doesn't say anything about the under consideration period. She argued back that while it is under consideration it's still NOT approved and needs to be in the account.

I had someone get the 30 day under consideration stamp and pull the money right out of his account when we left the immigration office yet 30 days later he got the year extension (really 11 months) just fine.

So I'd say it's your call on what you wanna do.

So you go to Chaengwattana instead right?
