TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about a 2-day gap between the expiration of their Type O visa extension based on marriage and their scheduled appointment for the extension application. Comments emphasize the importance of applying before the visa expiration date. Users advise going directly to the immigration office without an appointment if necessary, and indicate that extensions for certain visa types can be applied for as early as 30 days prior to expiration.
DO NOT book an appt two days after the stamp runs out ๐
You need to go in and apply for the extension BEFORE it runs out
if there is no appt open, you need to get out there and queue up just like most people do BEFORE your current stamp runs out
At most offices you can apply for a yearly extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp, (meaning you can apply for the extension any time after the 11th of March) in Bangkok and a a few other ones you can apply when you have 45 days or less left (meaning you could apply any time after the 26th of Feb) ๐ฎ
I'd say if you meet the requirements go out there and apply as soon as you can.
You aren't losing any time on your stamp because year extensions are added to the expiration date
