TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on finding reliable car and motorcycle insurance in Chiang Mai, especially for expats with a clean driving record. Roojai Insurance is frequently recommended, with comments emphasizing the importance of obtaining a Thai driving license for insurance coverage. Additionally, user experiences highlight concerns over insurance practices in Thailand compared to those in their home countries.

Thailand has no ability to check your driving record in your home country. There is no concept of “clean international license”. The IDP is nothing more than a document that cannot be verified and not registered with any government agency.
So even the worst driver with an IDP is the same as you.
Does anyone knows good car insurance company in Thailand 🇹🇭🤔

Premiums will depend upon the age and value of the car and the make/model/engine capacity.. as well as type of cover.. eg. class 1, class 2, etc.. so it's impossible to compare what other people are paying in a relative sense.. meaning if you insure a 10-yr old 1.0 litre compact car with class 2 cover you will pay a substantially lower premium than someone insuring a brand new 3.0 litre SUV/4x4 on a class 1 basis.. it would be better for the author to ask the readers for an idea of cost to insure the type of vehicle they are considering owning.. then maybe people with a similar vehicle can give a meaningful response.. otherwise it's like trying to compare house prices without knowing the location, plot size, type of building, nature of construction, quality of materials etc!

Best bet is to let us all buy a life insurance policy on you.
keep in mind insurance is not like back home they’ll do their best not to cover you and try to make it seem like it’s your fault. Foked around n found out
OK, if your IDP covers both car and bike then it's easy to convert. Your driving history doesn't matter as its the vehicle that gets insured rather than the driver. Can't help with the best policy

What company do you have covered with u r vehicles ???and how much you pay ?? A month or year
depends on what you pay, there are different classes of insurance that provide different levels of cover. If the bikes are taxed they will have insurance but it will likely be the most basic
I do have proper license and I used to live in Thailand for 3 years before covid
Beginning of my question was , dose anybody knows good insurance for vehicle ? Becaz I been a way from Thailand for 5 years now do you have a car or motorcycle ? And witch insurance companies u cover with with ? Is good companies ?? Or its OK 👍
You can just renew your license up to one year after it’s expired. You’ll then need to do both from scratch. I just have a small motorbike in Thailand (Honda Pcx 150) and I pay around 2000 thb in a year just for liability insurance. (Don’t remember the name).
