Any non immigrant visa (O, B etc) can be extended in the country for 12 months. It is not a visa though, it is an extension of stay

Can I travel outside Thailand while my marriage visa extension is under consideration?

There is a desk that sells the re-entry permit next to the immigration lines for stamping out in Zone 2 i believe. If you go to a different zone, you can ask the IO officer who will tell you where it is and you can go the office after stamping out and get the re-entry permit

Yes, Ed visas need to be canceled. If they are not canceled they will be considered as an overstay

Non B will cancel when it expires, an extension of stay is different and you would need to physically go to immigration and cancel it yoursefl
