Get off your arse and get down to Chaeng Wattana and ask any questions you need answers for at the reception desk! They all speak good English and they KNOW the answers to any questions you have!

If you want to spend

If you use a visa agent in Pattaya but ultimately relocate in Phuket, would you have to return to Pattaya every year to renew?

1900 baht is just the fee for apply. Why don’t you do it yourself, it’s quite straightforward if you don’t need an agent to bypass any requirements.

Hundreds in Bkk....

NON O is easiest to arr.

Most are in Pattaya. But find stable reliable.

Many OVERCHARGE newbies.

If can't find know great one in Pattaya. I don't use, but know them.

It's really easy to do yourself, only 1900 THB. Can get the requirements from the Immigration Office

for this you would need to go to Chaeng Wattana Immigration. It's in Building B, you can get a taxi or there is a skytrain as well. If you take the skytrain you will need to get a motorcycle taxi (or I believe a free shuttle bus) to building B

@Jonathan ******
wrong. The "change of visa type" from the Tourist Visa to the 90-days Non-Imm-O visa, is 2000.- THB. The following application to the EOS is 1900.- THB

What’s your problem
@Ian ***********
? Do you have a 90 days Non O visa and want to apply for a one year Extension of Stay? What’s difficult, to meet the financial requirements?

As you’re from AUS your embassy doesn’t offer to give you a affidavit letter to confirm your income, you’ll therefore need to bank 800K thb for your first year extension of stay or if you want to apply for a 90 Non O retirement visa in Thailand first. There’s no legal way around this.

I went to immigration in Jomtien. They accept a proof of monthly transfer, of minimum 65.000 bht. If stated by bank, over the last 12.000 bht. Then no month can be missing though. I asked, because I am tired to hold 800.000 in bank.
Jan ******************
@Martin *********
yes for your second year extension of stay you can switch to the income method showing proof of income every month for 12 months.

But if you’re from NL or Belgium I’m quite sure you’re embassy also offers to give you an affidavit letter to confirm your income. Then you don’t need to prove income or funds in any other way.
Martin **********
@Jan *****************
No. I not gave traditional income. But long payback of loan, without interest
John **********
@Martin *********
I always thought that if your embassy provides an income affidavit you had no choice but to use it. And the only alternative was the 800k method?

im after the 90 day visa before I extend for 12 months, have the 800k in Thai bank account
John **********
@Ian ***********
this is easy to do yourself. Just go to immigration with the required documents, letter from your bank, bank statement showing the money as international transfer, updated bank book, copies of all pages in your passport and proof of your long term address. You need to have at least 15 days left on your current stamp to make the change from a tourist stamp to a non-o
Jan ******************
@Ian ***********
Ok you apply on a TM.86 if you’re on tourist visa or TM.87 if you’re on visa exemption. It should be quite straight forward. Fee is 2000 thb. You’ll need a TM.30 registration as well. You’ll have to apply at the main immigration in Bangkok.

@Ian ***********
Regarding the two months seasoning requirement, it’s as I understand sufficient to have the funds in bank at date when you apply in Bangkok. Some immigrations as an example Jomtien demand two months seasoning. But you’ll need the funds in your bank two months prior when you apply for your extension of stay within three months.
Chris *********************
@Jan *****************
depends on province some 2 months some 3
Jan ******************
@Chris ********************
Ok, Never heard of. It’s seasoned two months prior and three months after extension of stay, and the only common known immigration who demands two months seasoning also for to apply for 90 days Non O visa in country is as far as I’m aware of is Jomtien.

“At MOST offices (EXCEPT Jomtien) you can apply for the initial 90 day Non-O visa based on retirement with just showing the 800K baht in the bank and not having it seasoned for the 2 months”
