Another truth bomb is Thailand don't care you married or not. I was married to a Thai almost 10 years. You are a guest there unless you got through the formal process to gain a long stays visa or residentnt status. From what I member you must speak and writ thai before they would even consider you. And you must habe

Here a better explanation from Ai. Here’s the correct answer to the question in the photo:

No — it does NOT apply to him as a permanent resident, because he is not a permanent resident.

What’s going on:

Having a DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) or living in Thailand for 12 months does not make you a permanent resident.

In Thailand, permanent residency is a completely different legal status that requires a formal application and approval from immigration.

So even though he lives there with his wife, he is still considered a temporary visa holder, not a permanent resident.

Simple way to answer him:

> “No, those rule changes would apply based on your visa type. A DTV visa doesn’t make you a permanent resident, so you’d still be subject to whatever rules apply to that visa.”

If you want, tell me what “rule changes” he’s talking about and I can explain exactly how they affect him 👍

Bob D'Andrea as I mentioned before all hotels in thailand submit a tm30 for you but a resadance you must self report. Before military co took over it didn't matter but rule is enforced. Matter fact there was alot of forgives back 11 years ago working as teacher. They used to turn a blind eye to it now some serious punishments have been imposed.

Bernd Mergner I know about this cuz i almost got fined after moving to a house after staying in hotel. Its good I knew the immergration officer and he didn't fine me or now my ex wife! Thai laws are very strict and as a guest you find out very quickly how they enforce them. It seems like free contry until the rules are broken! I knew a man married to a thai decided he not want to report himself. He got blacklisted and deported! Never to return to Thailand! Its seems like paradise until rules are broken and wind up in IDC in bkk! Follow the rules and enjoy your stay!

Maik Maik they can always move to philipines easier immergratiom only have to leave every 3 years and get ssrv visa never have to leave. Or marry and get terminated status to stay. And in philipines they understand English veryy well. Much easier than Thailand. For example in Thailand your always a guest but in philipines you can call it home and dollar goes much futher than in thailand. Thailand great to visit but, to live even married can be difficult.

You must repot to immergration of where you stay. In a hotel they do it for you. A privet resadance you have to fill out a form I think called tm-30 each time your in a privet resadance such as a condo. Thailand has been cracking down on this. It used to not matter. I like Thailand will go for visit but not live there anymore. Immergration makes things difficult sometimes and 90 day checheck in get annoying especially boxer runs! I lived there 8.7 years. Loved the people and food is spicy but tasty. Also if you do not self report prepare to pay fines if caught!

Most major pharmacies you can just walk in without a prescription and get whatever you want. I'm pretty sure they have this medication in one of the major pharmacies.

From my understanding what they're saying on the news they're closing the test and go program. If you've already registered you're able to still come to Thailand but if you're not registered you will not be able to come at this time. Due to Omicron fears.

You can try transferwise they have if you never used it a free transfer from your bank account to Thailand. Or you can go to a local ATM machine pull out your money and you will get the best rate from your bank. If you have the cash on you a lot of times in the airport they give you less money for your money. Especially when you have smaller bills. My bank reimburse me ATM fees anywhere in the world. Maybe you should call your bank and find out if they have a special account for that in your case.
