TLDR : Answer Summary
The best ways to obtain Thai Baht (THB) while in Thailand include using popular money transfer services like Wise (formerly TransferWise) and Revolut. Currency exchange options like SuperRich are recommended for competitive rates, especially in Bangkok. ATMs are accessible but may incur fees, so it's advised to withdraw larger sums at once. Small roadside exchanges may offer better rates than banks and airports. Travelers should also consider having cash on hand and researching locations for currency exchange shops.

Superrich Orange in Phra Ram 9 MRT mall has the same rate as their head office .
That’s the best rate I have found but it may not be worth the effort or expense to get there depending on your location and amount of money you want to change.
You can check their current rates at each location by Googling their website at Superrich1965
I'll give you my bank details, you send me the money and I'll send baht back to you, 1 for 1

Go into a bank with your passport and debit card and ask for a withdrawal

Unless desperate I never exchange money at airports. The rates are always terrible.
When changing cash in Thailand I use Super-rich whenever possible.
Wise seems like it might be a good option going forward for ATMs.
Can I use any ATM and will I get stung 220bt for each withdrawal?
Thanks is advance.

You can try transferwise they have if you never used it a free transfer from your bank account to Thailand. Or you can go to a local ATM machine pull out your money and you will get the best rate from your bank. If you have the cash on you a lot of times in the airport they give you less money for your money. Especially when you have smaller bills. My bank reimburse me ATM fees anywhere in the world. Maybe you should call your bank and find out if they have a special account for that in your case.
super Rich (Rick) at suvarnabhumi basement on the left where you get skytrain better rate than banks

Funny question asked as if you have never traveled before.
Normally - the Super Rich on the ground floor of Suvarnabhumi airport is a good place to start, but you won't be allowed to go there these days, as they whisk you away from the airport to your hotel for at least a night of quarantine first.
In town itself, there are several Super Rich outlets (some may have closed since, not sure, since there haven't been very many tourists over the past 20 months). There are also several others in downtown areas of Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya and even towns like Mae Sot, Mae Sai and others that offer good exchange rates.
Change 50$ in airport for pay taxi when you come airport but no more.
The small sjops sometimes offet more than big bank

Are you trying to be funny ? You are miserably failing although you do seem to have an obsession with Lady Boys not that there is anything wrong with that if you swing that way
transfer money to the wise card and use it at there exchange rate. Or just send money from wise to your thai bank. Best way really as you can wait until your happy with the rate. Thai Bank takes nothing
If just for a holiday short term use the ATM's . Just be aware of the transfer fees. With draw wnough bart for a few days . The transaction fees are wuite high for foreign cards

Using my travel card i would be charged 200baht a transaction , i think with a Thai bank atm card it is 20baht if that
- I’m in Khonkaen now and perhaps autonomous but this specific one only does cash for Cash….. and as you’ll be aware that if you use the ATMz you get charged handling fee of 220 Bhats….. ☮️
