Anonym deltagare 714 Such a ridiculous comment. Local bank account not useful for someone living 5 years in a country?

@Abdulghani *****
It’s not false information. Try going in to your bank and letting them know you’re on a DTV and see what happens.

Anonym deltagare 683 Maybe you enjoy paying 220 thb + fee from your bank just to access your own money, but most don’t. Many Cards have a limit of anywhere between €200 to €500 per withdrawal, so you’ll need plenty of withdrawals. Over the course of 5 years these fees adds upp.

Someone who is allowed to stay 5 years in a country should be allowed to have a bank account.

You need at least the exact same documentation you has when you applied. So if that was for muay thai for example, you need to show courses for another 6 months. It’s much less hazzle to take a flight somewhere and return the same day.

They will ask you to come in to update information

I was also quoted insane prices from some agents, I think the most expensive one was 150k thb. Will see if I can find a screen shot of that. I did it myself in the end.

Haven't seen any reports about it, but it wouldn't surprise me if this will be a requirement in the future.

Yeah, they make rules first and think after (or maybe not at all)
