In Bangkok where you go to get your extension it on your visa, or visa exemption.

If visa exemption, you go to Muang Thong Thani office.

I assume you can get a 30 day extension pretty easily.

I came here on a Visa Exemption, though from Norway.

First extension was no problem, and got my covid-extension last friday. No problem.

Out if curiosity, how and why is it different from being married to a Thai woman?

I honestly have no clue. Just curious how that works.

Pattaya doesn't seem to have a Sandbox scheme.

7 days quarantine unless already approved for Test & Go.

These days you need insurance to get into Thailand as far as I understand it.

And it needs to cover at least 50k USD with covid coverage.

I sent an email to my insurance-company today to ask about these scenarios.

All of the above scenarios are covered in my insurance, no symptoms required. They even cover new flight-tickets if I can't catch my flight home because of the quarantine.

I'm covered if I tested positive when arriving.

I'm covered if I'm quarantined due to another person on my flight testing positive.

And I'm covered if I'm unlucky enough to catch if while I am here.

So I'm pretty much fully covered for covid-expenses on my travels.

I have travel insurane from

Quarantine was the right thing to do.
