What are the experiences and recommendations for re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa?

My second re-entry on DTV this year. No questions asked. I did give them a DTV visa printout, which they fold and scan (god knows why should be just in the system)

I forgot about this new TDAC arrival card nuisance and had to spend 20 minutes in line and then filling it on tablet. I recommend doing it online if the website works properly (it didn't work on my phone)

Posting this because I see some fearmongering and entry problems from anonymous people.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a user's experience with re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa, noting that they faced no questions upon their second re-entry this year. They mentioned providing a DTV visa printout and highlighted challenges with the new TDAC arrival card, recommending that it be completed online if the website functions properly. Comments from other users reflected varied experiences, with some confirming no issues at entry and sharing insights about the TDAC's effectiveness, visa checks, and best practices for smooth re-entries.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

There are no issues with entry or re-entry on a DTV although it is best to spend a little bit of time outside of Thailand between trips and not max out your 180 days on each occasion(though there is nothing to stop you from doing so) it's better to look like someone who's traveling abroad for work or pleasure from time to time to ensure a smooth re-entry.

The TDAC registration should be done on a computer or if entering by air, at the terminals before immigration.

Thank you for the non-info you post to discredit info from anonymous posters telling their experiences

The bank also has your pincode in their system, so why should they ask it at every transaction, so what is your point with them checking you visa QR code?

@Luit ****************
even in Thailand, the cards have NFC, what year you living in? Do some googling to make it easier for yourself ;)

@Toni ******
what has NFC to do with pincode?

And what has it to do with my example that cards also might have NFC?

Even when I use Google it tells me in 2025 that it is normal that an ATM ask for pincode, and I know in Thailand 2025 is long ago, but in most countries we still live in 2025 so the information about picode just is actual.

not every transaction, use nfc at the store. Got my point?

I've done 6 entries through DMK and BKK. Never been questioned!

Only anonymous posters get questioned, it seems.

Or people who get questioned prefer to stay anonymous like many others, but there are also examples of non anonymous people here that got questioned.

Maybe you should set up some statistics how questioning is divided about anonymous posters and non anonymous posters and the overall ratio between them.

Did they look at your tdac? they still haven't asked for mine. Once without DTV and once with it. No tdac scan

Why would they need to look at it? Either it shows up in their system automatically or they will ask for the QR code or confirmation code.

They might ask for these if you're entering shortly after having filled out the form and it hasn't made it to their system yet.

It may also be border specific; the first time I did it, was in the morning and I re-entered Thailand that afternoon, no need to present anything but it was a big border crossing.

Second time, I did it in the morning and re-entered Thailand by car 2-2.5 hours later. The officers wanted my QR code or confirmation. I took a photo with my phone (just in case) and that was good enough.

On the first trip, I don't think I took a photo of anything but would have had confirmation in my email.

likely because it is linked to your passport.

Scanning it might be a preference to some officers, some not.

Thanks for the update and helping to ease the entry anxiety of the unknowns.
