Just a thought. We had to make a trip to immigration yesterday to get our multi entry permits, so while there I decided I would apply for our residence certificate ready for our 5 year driving licence renewal. I couldn't get an application form from information. I had taken one from an expat site, but it was out of date. See photo of current one below. Some confusion as to where I needed to go (lady at E2 told me to go to J2, kids at information were unsure, top lad at ticket issue counter gave me a queue number for counter B). It is counter B. This is very busy now as they also process TM30s. Lady looked at our printouts, but only wanted our Id and latest visa and entry pages and a copy of TM6. No photos required. Then she said she needed our last slip from 90 day reporting. Our last one was from October as we prefer to fly somewhere for a weekend instead. She insisted she could not process the letter because the 90 day slip was from last year. After much pleading she acquiesced, and we paid 200 baht for each form. (800 baht for bike and car for 2 applicants at the same address. So much better than our embassy). Hopefully, we will receive the letters in 14 days, but my point is this - if you need a residency letter it is better to apply soon after your 90 day reporting as this will expedite matters.
