One item that was new to me on my approved DTV application in Philippines, I do have a shared checking account and I was advised by the agency to have double the base baht in there.

So 1 million baht + a little as the balance.

I had also seen another post suggesting a letter from everyone on the account was a good idea to include but I didn't do that.

For a shared account, if accepted, it is indeed adviseable to double the amount, because only half of the money can be considered yours.

Not all embassies accept a shared accoun, so maybe check first.
