To the best of my understanding there is no minimum time for any visa? you can get mutiple entry visas and with a retirement visa all you have to do is report every 90 days and you can do that on line Non-Imm O,s are good for 90 days and they can be extended.

If you had kids and your name was on the Birth Certificate you could have easily got a Non-Immigrant O visa. Do you still have a copy of your Marriage Certificate?

The longest time was 7 months and there was a problem the Malaysia side on the last one. , 27 yrs ago. Got visas ever since.

OX is fine if you can afford it 3mill in the Bank or 1.8 mill +1.2 income/yr. In any case the whole 3 mill has to be there by the end of the 1st yr. From then on the balance cannot be less than 1.5 mill and the money is supposed to be spent in Thailand.. Shop around for the Insurance but I have found that Thai Company's are cheaper and easier to deal with ie. claims as Hospitals know them and usually pay them faster than offshore ones.
