Not on entry, but pre. Apply for a 60 days tourist visa before going.

The only way to get stamped in for 60 days as a tourist is to apply for a tourist visa from a Thai embassy or consulate before you travel.

I normally do the 30 day visa and apply for extention when there.Will try for the 60 visa from embassy.
