Unfortunately too many Thai’s work illegally & or disappear into the ether, she needs very strong ties to return to Thailand, job, kids, property/rent/mortgage, loans to be paid etc. if she’s got more reasons NOT to return you’ll always be denied.

How does the STV visa work for British passport holders currently in Cambodia?

It’s the country of the passport holder, not the country they are applying from. Otherwise as a Brit on the exemption list I could just fly to Sweden & apply there, where applicants are being accepted, which I can’t.
