The elite visa lasts very long, this is 9 months. The rich ones are already on elite visa, they don't need this.

The one you are talking about in BKK are not for tourist, they are for those who are already allowed to come back. The October idea for tourist is only for Phuket atm.

I'm a bit confused by some of the answers. He said that he cannot fly until a few weeks after amnesty due to medical reasons. And yet people told him to fly anyways if it's between that and overstays. Even with my terrible english I was able to understand OP post.

The list is not wrong, but to know where Thais, in particular, can go based on which country is reopening, you need to check the link below (Finland is off-limits because it's target Gray, which mean that it will take a long time to get a visa to go there even if there was no pandemic). Nobody knows, last time people were also freaking out. There is a chance that Laos border open but can only re-enter via air (14 days quarantine) via Phuket, BKK, and probably CM. I know it's silly to leave like that just to come back in quarantine the next day, but they need this money from foreigners desperate to come back.

You don't have to go back to your home country, there is other countries open atm with no requirement or, at worse, a PCR test. I am already looking at some of these countries to go with my Thai GF until tourists are accepted again (with acceptable quarantine fees or no quarantine).

I have never heard of such law and I received a lot of international transfer. Is there an amount the transfer needs to be for this to happen? I receive 40k baht on august 24, no question asked.
