Hi there, staff and readers. Glad to find a page who talk about thailand.

I actua'y stay without visa, I apply first an familly extension visa who is expired now

Now I stay here with visa exemption.

I cannot return France because 3 fly was canceled already , I spend 2100 euros for nothing πŸ˜•

Then now I no have choice to stay here more, wait have enauf money for pay another fly.

I read about I cannot have a new extension visa, can have only one extension in 1 year...

Then i am. Scaring police aressting me and go jail.

Its very difficult for me, I have 40.000 baht Monthly, so have enauf money for stay, but I cannot immagine pay 500 baht for each day........

Brainstorming for me.

Then if somebody can help me about what is possible to do for be I can be legal here, it's will be welcome.

Pay 500 baht fine for each day, and save money for pay another fly is just impossible for me.

I try to marry with my GF (10 years we are together) but I miss a french celibatary certificate document.

Sorry for my bad englisch, hope my post will be understand 😊

Thnaks Γ  lot, have a nice day to all

Chris

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user named Chris is currently in Thailand without a valid visa after their family extension visa expired, and they are awaiting a flight home that has been canceled three times. They express concern about the potential fines for overstaying their visa and difficulty affording the fines or a new flight. Community members offer various solutions, including applying for a 60-day extension available due to COVID-19, suggesting the user contact the French embassy for marriage documentation, and recommending seeking refunds for canceled flights.

You need 400,000 baht in a thai bank account in your name for 2 months prior to requesting the marriage visa. Do you have your own thai bank account?

Celibate? πŸ˜²πŸ™„

If you can not afford to buy a flight back to France now, then you are not going to be able to afford the bt400,000 in your Thai bank account for two months in order to get a marriage visa extension if you did get married. You should contact the French embassy as they can make arrangements for you to fly back home.

That sucks
Shaun *******
Go the French embassy in bangkok and get your affirmation to marry. Then you can register to marry

Nope, you can get it from the embassy. Like Steve said, the embassy is an extension of your country, thats what they're there for.

the embassy IS your home country.

>I read about I cannot have a new extension visa, can have only one extension in 1 year...

Not true, the Thai government is issuing 60 day extensions based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. This will let you stay until March, 2021. Each extension is 1,900 THB.

>Pay 500 baht fine for each day, and save money for pay another fly is just impossible for me.

Look in your passport. IF your stamp is valid until today, GO to your immigration office and pay the 1,900 THB and get the extension of stay stamp.

>I try to marry with my GF (10 years we are together) but I miss a french celibatary certificate document.

I don't think any of the offices that do marriage certificates have any openings until early next year.

>Its very difficult for me, I have 40.000 baht Monthly, so have enauf money for stay, but I cannot immagine pay 500 baht for each day........

If you can afford it, try contacting the Elite Visa people; they sell a 5 year tourist visa for 400K THB.

i had 2 flights cancelled in April (Emirates/Aeroflot) and got a full refund, maybe try to do a chargeback on the card you paid the flight with if they are refusing a refund. There are also services like
*************
that help get refunds for a fee, i haven't used that but there are many like it that might be of help.

Maximum fine is 20,000 baht for overstay. But if you get caught without valid visa not sure how lenient they would be in these times, normally would get locked up deported and banned from country for a time depending upon length of overstay.

Hard to believe you cannot get flight home.

@Surf *****
yes I received money back from bank for canceled flights , just Skype bank and send copy of cancelled flights

@Surf *****
if your flights have been officially cancelled by the airline then claim back through your bank. I had flights with Oman air in June and they did not want to refund. When I submitted proof to my bank in UK that Oman had officially cancelled the flight I received my money back within a week.
