- I think he was just telling you that in the future you can’t do that. Times are changing. He saw that you did it before and wanted to make sure you didn’t do it this time. Nothing nasty about it. They are pushing to get people of exemptions

- if it was a data mismatch issue, usually it would be a cancellation, not a rejection. Where were you when you applied and while waiting? In Hanoi? Did you check spam, etc to see if they asked for more documents?

not clear what you said happened. My passport shows given name and surname. What is listed in my passport under given name is both my first and middle names.

not DTV, but there are some , especially extensions, that are done in person at immigration, in Thailand

What nationality? In US passports we only have two lines, given name and surname. Given Name line includes both first and middle names. This would line up with Name in the application. Does your passport break your first name out separate from middle names?
