Yes Benjamin that’s what I thought ... immigration flatly refused . I have had multiple extensions on the same visa ...

Yes you are right but they were not interested in my change .... rules are to change reason for non O from retirement to thai wife your visa must expire within 45 days or you have to fly out ... I ended up paying a huge backhander and got it changed TIT

There are some check points on the 36 and also on bang na trat - before the entrance to freeway ... I have been back and forth a few times and not stopped yet . I have the stamped letter from local ampur just in case

You need a Visa... The days of border runs is well and truly over. Where can you cross and get back ? Certainly not Malaysia / Cambodia or Myanmar....conditions are different now. He is looking for sound advice - the correct advice is to suggest a visa type - ie Retirement Non O or Tourist

Sorry - O or OA are the non immigrant visas...Only O is for Thai Wife extension - OA is for retirement extension
