- I had a job and needed the Thai Wife visa to get WP...so it was that or lose the job.

I changed from O retirement to O Thai Wife...

Immigration told me it must expire within 45 days. Otherwise need to leave country, but special payment and they will do it ...I paid.

- I had the same thing and had to pay ... if the visa is expiring then there is no fee but mid term change of reason need to pay immigration “special” fees ... I paid more than that !

Thanks Todd - I agree that you should not travel without insurance but not clear on - "would have been much easier if you had given this some thought a year ago. No insurance needed".....I do not understand...

Condos generally have a fee and a deposit for renovation. My Condo is 100,000 baht and they charge a per month contractor fee of about 1200 baht I think...this is to cover lift useage etc'. I have done it 2 times and got my deposit back immediately upon completion. Contractors never want to pay the deposit, so if you get someone in, you will still be responsible for the fee and deposit.

Is this requirement for all Non immigrant O i.e. Thai Wife ? Seems to only focus on over 50 retirement Non O ...

Mine is a non O not OA

Visa / extension must expire within 45 days - that is what immigration told me ... I paid under table and they did it for me ...
