Just remember that some appliances that you mat be used to are not as common in Thailand, I live in mainly in Australia but we have a place in Thailand, everything is cheaper to buy in Australia and better quality. Frypan, kettles, TVs, tools, you name it. The import duty must be higher in Thailand.
No, that is to try and restrict the spread but it is pretty obvious that the best way to do this is to not travel until it is safe do so, that way we are considering each other rather than just ourself!
If you know that the COVID situation in the UK is worse than it is in Thailand, if you are also aware that other countries are concerned at the particularly virulent strain the UK why would you even consider travelling and potentially putting others at risk?
