There is no limit of 180 days.

If you stay more than 180 you risk being considered a tax resident.

As far as entries you can enter and stay as long as you are allowed, until an IO officer stops you.

it's a leisure activity.

They don't care if you even do it.

Once you fulfill the qualifications and receive that visa there no follow up.

They are trying to boost tourism sectors and think that this visa will stimulate it.

Yeah its crazy but true.

I explained the process, what they do and how many times is up to them.

You are also mistaken that you only get 30 days.

You now get 60 days Visa exempt and can extend it once in country another 30 days.

That's 90 days without leaving.

The Thai citizens can enter on the US passports on 60 day visa exempt.

Once in Thailand can then get their Thai passports renewed.

There will be no overstay or fines as they are Thai citizens.

You can visit your local immigration once in Thailand and they will explain the process of staying even though they entered on a foreign PP.

It's not a problem any longer to do that.

As a UK citizen you did not need a visa for 60 days.

You will exit as your extension expires and reenter with just a tourist visa exempt stamp for 69 days.

Which you can then extend for 30 days.

Most offices prefer 1 transfer per month.

The transfer should be around the same time each month to avoid any problems.

Each office and then officer will ultimately decide.

The simpler you make it the easier to get through.

you have to try and be reasonably consistent.

For example if you deposit on the 3rd and then the next month on the 28th, that is almost 2 mths between deposits.

Its not just that you deposit in Oct and then in Nov.

They also prefer to see 1 deposit for simplicity.

Remember it will be office specific and then officer specific what they will allow.

With the money , either banked or income method, 1 mistake and you have to start the process over.

no your annual date will be basically static.

Being able to apply early allows you to work around your schedules, fix any potential issues, etc.

Some apply on the last day, not a good plan.
