Sorry, I wasn't being rude, but wanting clarification. But I do have a question. Can you not stay for say 89 days, leave the country (for example visit Malaysia or Singapore), come back after a week, stay another 89 days, do another visa-run, and come back again? Is that not possible? No overstaying, just coming in and out. My thoughts are that I won't stay full time in Thailand, only for the periods when it is cold back home. Thanks.

Excuse me, but is this your opinion or fact? Considering the new visa rules have just started, how do you know about pattern-matching? How do you know about "1 hour questioning"? And how do you know about the "most people" encountering issues after spending time in the country since it has only been a month or so? Overstaying has always been an issue regardless of visa rules.
