Keep in mind Insurance for foreigners is still new & thais only care about getting your money, so absolutely nothing is regulated. Though given a PM that was more about buying a Submarine for himself than helping his own people during Covid is not very convincing of a country that cares if you get screwed.
I’m still looking, lots of companies lying now about what’s covered & how much is paid out. Whomever recommends, you need ‘vet’ yourself and believe or not.
Don’t trust anything online in this country, the majority of Thai are unskilled at everything. I just send the wife. Don’t even have to get off the sofa.
If you were driving and doing a quick day (1 hour) border run then would say Laos just if anything for the cheap cases of BeerLao, but if not & Flying than Ho Chi Minh.
See you received your answer, just adding if from Los Angeles & over 50, you might want to pack that atuff that you cant get here (or very few can get online but very expensive with the import fees)…. Like Ibuprofen, Extra Strength headache caplets, quality brand vitamins in high dosages, Pepto-Bismal, Tums, Alka-Seltzer, (if smoke) real cigarettes, coffee beans, and stock up your medications. Lots of people say everything is here, its a lie. I go back & restock next year including couple boxes of my favorite cereal - unfortunately Thailand is all monopolies & tired of Kelloggs flakes.
apologizes the rudeness, haven’t been to Chiang Rai but heard, careful jungle/ thick forest exploring - some mosquitoes carry dengue fever & guessing it’s the ones with spotted bright colors. The rest of Thailand is safe (maybe not Phangnra national forest) from malaria & dengue.
Yes but if another extension, you’ll need put it back 2 months before. My plan was to keep it there forever but post-covid, Thailand became much more expensive despite the PM did very little to help his people. Take or dip in but if want another Year extension, need put it back.
