I only say it’s rarely asked for, if you know Thailand as well as I do you would know they have MANY laws and mandatories that is never enforced. For example is prostitution illegal.

1. Since when do anyone need to apply for a tourist visa? You get 60 days on your ticket and can extend 30 days.

2. Since when do anyone need an invitation letter for a tourist visa or proof of funds?

I have never been asked of any of these things and I’ve been coming and going since 2009

In 15 years I never been asked about TM30 until 2 months ago when someone wanted to create a problem for me to make money pretending to help me fix it (classic) 😁
