TLDR : Answer Summary
To legalize your Indian marriage certificate in Thailand, you need to translate it into English, have it attested by the relevant authorities in India (likely the Foreign Ministry and Law Ministry), and then get it attested by the Thai Embassy in India. After arriving in Thailand, translate the attested document into Thai and have it further attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand. Finally, submit the attested Thai certificate to the local district office. It is advisable to work with an authorized agent in India for the initial steps, as the process can be complicated.

translate certificate of marriage in English, after go to ministry of foreign affairs to receive stamp and then go to thai embassy to receive stamp again...when you travel to Thailand translate English version in thai language and receive stamp from ministry of foreign affairs in Thailand, then find two witness and go to your wife's district to register your marriage, its easier if you do via some agent, translate and stamp cost around 1500 baht ,excuse me about my English

Send it back to an agent in India , who wud do all steps in India then send it back to u in Thailand. Will take 1 month atleast in India. 8-10K INR should be going rate for agents . Don't try to do on ur own .. u can't as MEA only accepts legalisation through Authorized agents .

It's a very lengthy and complicated process brother! You have to translate your Indian marriage certificate in English and then attested by the concerned authority of India (maybe foreign Ministry and law Ministry). This certificate you have to submit to the Thai Embassy in India for attestation again. That attested certificate again you have to translate in Thai language after you arrived in Bangkok and again have to be attested by the Ministry of foreign affairs, Thailand. Again you have to submit the attested certificate to the concerned district office, Thailand to get the final marriage certificate in Thai language. Please inbox me if you need further cooperation.

anybody who marries a Thai overseas is going through a lengthy process, not just Indians. If you can, marry in Thailand first.

Go to your embassy, get it certified, then you have it translated, finally go to Thai Consular Services to have it legalized. Then visit you’re amphur where you’re living to get it registered.

you received a lot of WRONG instructions! Visit the Embassy of India in Bangkok. They will have your marriage certificates translated and legalized. After this you probably will need to get them co-legalized by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok. With these documents you can get your marriage registered on any Amphur inside Thailand

, more pain is waiting for you in days to come if you want to stay in Thailand. It's better to avoid living in Thailand. Good luck!

I’m living permanently in Thailand since 16 years and never had any pains about it 😂

It’s a big difference for a white Scandinavian living in Thailand and an Indian, maybe that’s why you experience so much pain and problems 🤔

, you are inconsistent with your statement. I quote you. " Yes it's a hassle, I'm doing that right now and is finally on the last step to go to the local district office to register my marriage" . So, I thought it's your first time. You also stated that you are permanently living in Thailand since 16 years. So, why are you going through the process again? However, I am not an Indian and have been living in Thailand for 6 years. Thank you.
