TLDR : Answer Summary
The original question inquires about obtaining Golden Visa paperwork in Phuket. The responses bring up confusion regarding what a 'Golden Visa' entails, with some respondents suggesting it may be referred to as the Thai Privilege Gold card or referring to the Destination Thailand Visa. Several comments clarify that there is no known 'Golden Visa' as described, pointing instead to the costs and procedures for the Thai Privilege Visa and mention the questionable nature of a $300 visa. This indicates a need for more accurate information regarding visa types available in Thailand and where they can be applied for.
"Golden Visa", if it is the same thing Mr Thaksin introduced in 2003, does give you 5-10-20 years stay, at the price of 8,000 THB (200 EUR) per month just to breath Thai air. Nothing else worth mentioning.
I know of some Japanese Execs who got that from their companies, part of their retirement package.

I believe you might be referring to the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV).
You cannot get this visa in Thailand. You apply in another country through the evisa website via their embassy or consulate.
Depending on the country you choose the cost can vary from approx $300 up to $1,100.

Seriously?🥴
Please show us where the Thai Government mentions the "Golden Visa" for US$300. 👀
If there is such a visa as you describe, it must be for a completely different country. For US$300, maybe Nigeria? Do you also get a free Royal title with it? 🤡
There's only one "Thailand Gold Visa" which refers to
offering a 5-year multiple-entry visa with VIP benefits and costs 900'000THB (around US$27'000).
For US$300 you might be lucky and a visa agent gets you a one year extension on your existing Non-Immigrant visa but more likely I'll be around US$ 500.

Golden Visa is 300 Dollars 💸 for 5 year Visa Allowing Tourists to Stay 6 months maximum without a Visa Run. 🤔
There's no such thing as a golden visa. There is DTV, Destination Thailand Visa. You apply for this through a Thai embassy, you cannot apply for it inside of Thailand. And it requires a lot more than just paying for the visa, you have to qualify and provide the paperwork that proves that you qualify.
